The bottled water section at the local grocery store near me in NYC. Hour long checkout lines. Water, batteries, flashlights and candles sold out. People are unsure what to expect.
Hurricane Sandy hits with full-force later today… winds are steadily picking up. I am hoarding my jar of peanut butter and the cinnamon scented candle I was able to find at the hardware store in wait… off to take some pictures for now though.
An outtake from a recent magazine assignment I shot… Cannot figure out for the life of me why they did not want to run this one?
Life has been in a bit of overdrive as of late… as per usual everything seems to hit at once. I arrived, exhausted but excited at JFK last night only to find that my bag was on holiday somewhere else. Thankfully I always carry my cameras and folio in carry on so I was good… however I was faced with going to my first meeting today with editors (that I have wanted to meet for a looooong time and was finally able to get in front of) in my track pants and sandals from the plane. Not a good look.
I managed an early morning high intensity shopping spree that would have impressed Paris Hilton and got there in the nick of time with tags still hanging off the back of my pants.
NYC for 12 days. I had 2 hot dogs and a beer for lunch. And my bag showed up.
